Siko WV58MR Series Encoder, Safety encoders for construction machines!

The latest generation of construction machines offers a wide range of new and sometimes autonomous functions which increase the efficiency and relive the machine operator even more. From March 7th till 11th the next generation of safety encoders are on display at the CONEXPO / IFPE 2017. SIKO will present the WV58MR, a safety encoder which is specially designed for mobile machines. Robust, reliable and safe. These are the three major keywords for this encoder.

The WV58MR is developed for applications where functional safety is required. The WV58MR can be used in application up to Performance Level d (PLd) and provide a CANopen Safety or redundant CANopen Interface. Thru this fact it is the perfect encoder for a wide range of applications like Mobile cranes (slewing position), steer by wire, AGV systems (steering position) and in combination with our robust string pots the WV58MR can also been used for distance measurement (like outrigger applications).
