MagLine scales are available as flexible magnetic rings that provide coded path information and angle information for the corresponding encoder. The scales are available in both incremental and absolute versions.
Robust and cost-effective all-round solutions are offered by incremental scale encodings. In the incremental variant, the magnetic ring is coded with north and south poles, whereby the length of the poles has a significant influence on the maximum resolution and system accuracy.
The use of absolute coding of scales results in system characteristics that guarantee high repeat accuracy and measurement reliability. By using appropriate encoders, absolute magnetic measurement enables precise position detection even when there is no power supply.
